Like a hurricane, you hear about Billy Carter's live set long before you see it for yourselves. Snippets come through: they lived in London for years, their guitarist is a blues genius, their front woman wails into the mic with a voice like a torn dress and all the swagger of a drugged up Elvis, their drummer is tight like a fist, there's a melodica involved... Then you see them and you realise the hype is all wrong, because nothing in the world can prepare you for the spunk, humour and oddity of this bluesy, ballsy wonder.
The lo down

BOT: What do we have to look forward to in the coming months from you?
HJ: We will continue to perform and we will be working on a new album soon. Please look forward to it.
BOT: Donald Trump has invited you to play a private party for him. He’ll pay you $1,000,000. Nobody ever has to know. Do you play?
HJ: Haha. No.
JN: Maybe he is fun like a comedian not politician so it will be fun!
JW: Why not? It doesn't have to be secret either. The cash will be donated to support the victims of hate and sex crime, and refugees.
