Tell us about Brabrabra.
Brabrabra is a girl band, and a band with an attitude! We started to play because we were neighbours and friends. Actually we all met through Tatsumi, Saiko's brother, who also organized our first show, although at the time, we were not even a band! So, we simply started to play together, and then the music came. What more... Yes, it's fun to see Brabrabra!

What are you most looking forward to at Bang On fest?
Having attended some Bang On shows in the past two years, we're excited to hear good music and enjoy the nice environment we have always experienced in their parties! And we look forward to play!

If someone only had time to listen to one of your songs, which one would you choose and why?
Very hard question: our style is to use very different styles, that's why we call it ‘universal pop’. It's a sort of  ‘BBB now do bossa nova’ or ‘BBB now do punk’ but in our own way! If we really have to choose one song, we would pick ‘Do What You Want To’. We like how we recorded it and it has a bit of a crazy arrangement.

What does “DIY” indie mean to you?
DIY means so much to us. It's a way of living first of all, it's building relationships with people and places based on a common ethos, ideals and feelings, disregarding money or exposure. We've met amazing people through the DIY scene, passionate and committed, that understand how culturally and socially important it is. It also means control of your music and your image. It simply means freedom!

What are your plans for the rest of the year?
We have lined up some very nice shows (like Fusion!) that we are looking forward to. We would like to play live a lot, in Germany and abroad, also write new songs and maybe record something. Our lives have been always full of surprises, so we will see what will happen. We will take everything that will come!
